Chania Overview |
Chania was once one of the Mediterranean's best kept secrets, now a very popular tourist destination. It nevertheless remains a gorgeous little town which is graciously surrounded by beautiful mountains and an ever so delightful ocean.
During the battle of World War II, the town suffered a tremendous degree of damage, which ironically today adds to the wonderful atmosphere as many of the unreconstructed buildings have been transformed into delightful shops and restaurants. |
