Useful Tips |
| Other - by P Mason from England |
| Don't drive in Athens unless you are a very confident driver and can keep your cool.
Don't change lanes unless you have too. Know your journey before you travel.
Parking is better in the car parks, a lot easier.
Low crime rate so don't worry about thefts.
Speed limits are ignored. Most traffic rules are not enforced. Watch for people driving through red lights.
Pedestrians have no rights on the road. Be very careful or you will be run over. Don't trust the green man on the traffic signs
Better to call for taxis!

| The streets are always very crowded with vehicles and your journey from point A to point B can take enormously long although the factual distance is not very big. Subway is very quick. Taxis are a struggle, rather evade them - better to hire a car if you must. |
